Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Hey Julius ("the Service") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Hey Julius does

Hey Julius is a group scheduling tool. It reads free/busy availability from team members' calendars to help find meeting times. It uses an AI assistant (Julius) to interpret natural-language scheduling requests.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your profile page.

4. Calendar data

iCal/ICS feeds: Hey Julius reads event start and end times to compute free/busy availability. We do not read, store, or share your event titles, descriptions, attendees, or locations, except: if you opt in to "Show my own event titles" in Settings (off by default), Julius reads your own event titles and displays them back to you only — never to other team members, never stored, never sent to the AI. Titles you type when booking a meeting through Hey Julius are a separate thing and are stored and shared with invitees as part of that meeting.

Google and Microsoft OAuth: When you connect via Google or Microsoft OAuth, we request free/busy access and, when native calendar invites are used, write access to create events on your behalf. Your OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token) are stored encrypted on your account. Free/busy data is fetched live for scheduling and is not persistently cached. Native event creation occurs only when you confirm a meeting.

5. AI features

Julius uses the Anthropic Claude API to interpret scheduling requests. Your messages to Julius and the resulting scheduling context are sent to Anthropic's API and are subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. We do not use your data to train AI models.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Hey Julius available at all times but do not guarantee uptime. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hey Julius is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
